OUR CUSTOMER FEEDBACK

James Nowiczewski, Australia.

“Just did my first shoot day with a Dedleg (borrowed from a colleague) – amazing. Swinging boom with a 688 and fully loaded Octopack – weren’t no thing! Put my order through at 2 am as soon as I got back from the gig. It’s not cheap, but it’s very well made and designed – and one of those products that I reckon we’ve been talking about for 20 years. So glad you guys have come out with the perfect realisation of all our dreams.”

Siarl Elis Howell Griffiths, Cymru.

“I bought the Dedleg as soon as I saw it at BVE 2015. My daily rig is a relatively full on 688/sl6 combo in an Orca Bag on a Harness. Frankly I was in great need of this back saviour. In use the Dedleg is brilliant, once you are used to it being on the bag, you will not want to take it off. It is very easy to deploy and retract. It does add a bit of weight when you are on the move but once you have stopped it is priceless. Last time I weighed my bag in full on mode it was way past 15kg, but this lets me swing the boom with greater ease and I even use it when when sat to take the weight as a makeshift table, inflatable sofa optional… Worth a mention is that the customer service is exemplary. My advice would be just get one.”

Adam Snyder, U.S.

“I just wanted to write and tell you guys how much I appreciate your product. It’s changed my job for me more than any other piece of equipment I’ve bought and saved me money on those monthly chiropractor bills. On every gig I work I usually end up giving the cam op the name of it to tell other sound guys they work with, thanks!”

David Arnold, Dubai.

“I have been using mine for around 6 months and it’s the best thing I have ever had! I always had back problems and this solves them all. It’s very solid.”

Chris 'Savvy' Savill, Australia

“Attention Sound Recordist, Dedleg has our backs!
What a relief!”

Reto Stamm, Switzerland.

“My Dedleg just arrived – only 24 hrs after placing my order with you yesterday. This is incredible customer service, very impressive!
Just checked it out quickly with my partially loaded bag. Works like a charm and does exactly “what it says on the tin”.
I can already see (and feel in my back) that your product will be a very valuable addition to my kit.”

Pete Lee, IPS.

“I have been involved in every series of The Apprentice, going back over ten years now, being sound supervisor on six regular, and three Junior series as well as celebrity specials. It is a prime example of heavy load sound kit, coupled with long shooting days with no respite – recording almost constantly with little or no time to take off the sound kit or even sit down’.

‘The arrival of the Dedleg is going to revolutionise working on this and similar shows in future. I can feel my back, neck and shoulders breathing a collective sigh of relief!’.
‘It’s not often that a product arrives which can have a huge impact on our physical wellbeing – I feel that in certain circumstances the Dedleg will do just that. Camera operators have for a long time had the Easyrig – and I have heard a few call it their ‘career extender’. Dedleg is the nearest equivalent for the sound department and about time!’.
In short, this is a great product and will make an enormous difference to life on location. Its beautifully realised and reassuringly stable, but stows away with such a small profile I can forget its there when not in use, well done Dedleg!”

Kiff McManus, AMPS.

“Back injuries are becoming a big problem in our industry with bags growing to spine crushing sizes. And the muddy fields that are our playground means putting the damn things down is often more trouble than it’s worth so we end up carrying them for hours at a time. The Dedleg means that as soon as you stop walking you no longer have to support that weight but with the mixer still in position. It’s so simple it’s beautiful. Moments to attach to the bag, literally seconds to deploy or retract and it can all be done with one hand while the other hand, if you have one, is busy with something else. For all us bag bashers out there, if you try it you will buy it.”

Nour Halawania, Middle East.

“In my early days as a passionate Sound mixer in the middle east I was quite careless with my back, carrying heavy bags and booming for hours without any back support, which caused me minor back problems that started to accelerate as I worked, to become a serious back issue.

For someone like me that could work between 12 to 16 hours a day carrying a huge reality bag and booming while mixing, I wouldn’t think twice about a product that can help me do my job, not just healthier but even better and with less physical fatigue after wrapping everyday.

As soon as I heard about Dedleg I ordered it at once without thinking twice, and boy the joy I had the first time I used it. I remember it as the first day I got home after a long day’s shoot without back pain, I had so much energy left in me that day that I went out with the crew, which is something I never did before because I always wrapped half dead !

Basically it gave me my career and youth back !

It’s one of those things that once you get used to it you can’t imagine working without it.”

Richmond Film Services
